Benny Kauff

Benny Kauff (Benjamin Michael Kauff) was born on January 5, 1890 in Pomeroy, Ohio. He made his Major League debut on April 20, 1912 for the New York Highlanders. In 1914, his rookie year, he hit .370 with 8 home runs and 95 RBI. Kauff played for the New York Highlanders, Newark Peppers, Brooklyn Tip-Tops and New York Giants over the course of his 8 year career.
Most people believe that Benny Kauff's best season was 1914, when he stole 75 bases, hit for a .370 average and knocked in 95 runs.
