Benji Gil (Romar Benjamin (Aguilar) Gil) was born on October 6, 1972 in Tijuana, Baja California (Mexico). He made his Major League debut on April 5, 1993 for the Texas Rangers. In 1995, his rookie year, he hit .219 with 9 home runs and 46 RBI. Gil played for the Texas Rangers and Anaheim Angels over the course of his 8 year career.
