Ben Steiner (Benjamin Saunders Steiner) was born on July 28, 1921 in Alexandria, Virginia. He made his Major League debut on April 17, 1945 for the Boston Red Sox. In 1945, his rookie year, he hit .257 with 3 home runs and 20 RBI. Steiner played for the Boston Red Sox for his entire 2 year career.
