Ben Hightower (John Benjamin Hightower) was born on December 5, 1918 in Beaumont, Texas. Hightower attended Sam Houston State University. Hightower made his professional debut in the NFL in 1942 with the Cleveland Rams. He played for the Detroit Lions and Cleveland Rams over the course of his 2 year career.

Most people believe that 1942 was Ben Hightower's best year.
