Ben Egan (Arthur Augustus Egan) was born on November 20, 1883 in Augusta, New York. He made his Major League debut on September 29, 1908 for the Philadelphia Athletics. In 1912, his rookie year, he hit .174 with 0 home runs and 13 RBI. Egan played for the Philadelphia Athletics, Cleveland Naps and Cleveland Indians over the course of his 4 year career.
