Ben Chase (Benjamin S. Chase, III) was born on March 18, 1924 in Bisbee, Arizona. After going to high school at Herbert Hoover (San Diego, CA), Chase attended United States Naval Academy. Chase made his professional debut in the NFL in 1947 with the Detroit Lions. He played for the Detroit Lions for his entire 1 year career.
