James "Beau" Beaumont Bell was born on May 26, 1986. He is a senior linebacker for UNLV.
[edit] Highschool
In highschool, Beau Bell played at Tustin HS, where he was named Defensive MVP of the Century League as both a junior and senior. He finished with 150 tackles, five sacks and two interceptions as a senior for the Tillers. He lso carried the ball 55 times for 506 yards and eight TDs for the 2003 league champs.

In 2004, he played in all 11 games for UNLV as a true freshman reserve LB behind a linebacker corps that included two NFL draftees. He also recovered a fumble and forced another fumble at BYU.
In 2005, he started 7 games and finished fourth in the MWC with 92 tackles. He recorded his first sack against San Diego State and went on to finish that game with 3.5 as part of a 14-tackle game.
In 2006, a left-ankle sprain limited him to just seven games played. He still made team-leading 76 tackles. and had a career-high four QB sacks. He was forced to miss the last five games of the season due to his ankle injury.
