Rules and Exceptions

Rule 1: This is usually where the player with the most power on the team goes. Usually a first or third baseman, and if there is one a Designated Hitter, because they are some of the biggest on the team.

Examples: Adriane Beltre, David Ortiz, Edgar Martinez

Exceptions: Some outfielders have outstanding power too, such as an early career Ken Griffey Jr. or Carlos Beltran
