Barry Lyons (Barry Stephen Lyons) was born on June 3, 1960 in Biloxi, Mississippi. He made his Major League debut on April 19, 1986 for the New York Mets. In 1987, his rookie year, he hit .254 with 4 home runs and 24 RBI. Lyons played for the New York Mets, Los Angeles Dodgers, California Angels and Chicago White Sox over the course of his 7 year career.
