Born on May 21, 1936 in Los Angeles, California, Barry Latman (Arnold Barry Latman) played for the Chicago White Sox, Cleveland Indians, Los Angeles Angels, California Angels and Houston Astros over the course of his 11 year career. Latman broke into the bigs on September 10, 1957 with the Chicago White Sox, and put up a 3.75 ERA in 156 innings pitched in 1959, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Barry Latman's best season was 1961, when he posted a 4.02 ERA, won 13 games and struck out 108 batters.
