Barry Foote (Barry Clifton Foote) was born on February 16, 1952 in Smithfield, North Carolina. He made his Major League debut on September 14, 1973 for the Montreal Expos. In 1974, his rookie year, he hit .262 with 11 home runs and 60 RBI. Foote played for the Montreal Expos, Philadelphia Phillies, Chicago Cubs and New York Yankees over the course of his 9 year career.

Most people believe that Barry Foote's best season was 1979, when he slugged 16 home runs and knocked in 56 runs.
