Barry Evans (Barry Steven Evans) was born on November 30, 1955 in Atlanta, Georgia. He made his Major League debut on September 4, 1978 for the San Diego Padres. In 1979, his rookie year, he hit .216 with 1 home run and 14 RBI. Evans played for the San Diego Padres and New York Yankees over the course of his 5 year career.
