Barney Cotton (Barney T. Cotton) was born on September 30, 1956 in Omaha, Nebraska. After going to high school at Harry A. Burke (Omaha, NE), Cotton attended the University of Nebraska. Cotton made his professional debut in the NFL in 1979 with the Cincinnati Bengals. He played for the St. Louis Cardinals and Cincinnati Bengals over the course of his 3 year career.
