Bad Night, If Your Last Name Is Rodriguez

Lets start with one of the best closers in the game, Francisco Rodriguez
a.k.a. K-Rod. After the Los Angeles Angels reliver, Justin Speier, was taken out after his two innings of shutout baseball, Halos manager, Mike
Scioscia decided to take him out, bringing in his best closer, K-Rod.
There were 2 choices for the skipper.
1: Pitch to David Ortiz who has come up big in the clutch spot this
season.
2: Walk Big Papi with a base open and 2 outs and pitch to Manny
Ramirez.
Scioscia chose choice #2. The results were not good as Manny sent the
1-0 fastball over the Green Monster and giving the Boston Red Sox a 6-3
win and a 2-0 lead in the ALDS. If 2 out hits can get you to heaven,
where will a 2 out walk off home run in the ALDS get you.
Maybe a first class flight to God's penthouse suite. K-Rod, who hasn't blown a save since August 31 against the Texas Rangers, walked off of the mound, slowly back to the clubhouse. All the Angels can do now is hope, as they go back to Los Angeles for game 3 of the ALDS as Boston's veteran, Curt Schilling looks to sweep the Halo's as he faces Angels pitcher, Jered Weaver.
On the other side, there is a guy named Alex Rodriguez, who continues to
struggle in the postseason. Last night, A-Rod went 0-4 with 3 strikeouts, which makes him 0-6 this postseason and 4-47 in his last 14 postseason games.
"Again, I know what I'm doing, I've just got to fix it," said A-Rod after last nights game.
He's been hitless in his last 28 postseason at bats. Not only Rodriguez has been struggling but the whole Yankees team have been struggling in this series. So far, the New York Yankees have had only 8 hits in their first 2 postseason games. But the magnifying glass is mainly on A-Rod, who has been struggling more than any Yankee in last couple years in the postseason.
The Yankees were heavily favored to beat the Cleveland Indians in this series, have found themselves in an 0-2 defecit. They go back to New York to try and sweep the Yankees, something that hasn't happened to New York in 27 years.
The Tribe looks like they have everything working for them so far in this postseason. Indians pitcher, Fausto Carmona had a spectacular night, only giving up 3 hits and 1 run in 9 innings. Jake Westbrook will go against Roger Clemens on Sunday.
Clemens will try and stop the bleeding but if he can't, this may be the last time you will see Clemens in a Yankees uniform, or Alex Rodriguez for that matter.
