Bad Decision By LaRussa

Orlando Hudson < Albert Pujols
The decision made by Tony LaRussa in this year's All - Star game was the most terrible decision an all-star manager has ever done. If you didn't know, Tony favored players like Orlando Hudson, and Aaron Rowand ahead of Albert Pujols to step up to the plate.
It was a one-run game in the bottom of the ninth- two men on, and Orlando Hudson stepped up to bat while Pujols sat on the bench not playing in this all-star game. Sheesh, I would have picked Tony Graffanino in this situation ahead of Hudson.
What made this even worse is that Hudson walked, and the next batter was Aaron Rowand, a player who is on this team for his defense (same as Hudson). Same story- Pujols watching from the bench in disgust knowing that he could have won it for the NL all-stars and break the losing streak.
We all know Pujols is having an off-year, but he still has incredible hitting ability. It makes me shiver when they showed the close-up of LaRussa, and he wasn't worried about anything, just sitting there. If this was a case of proving something to Pujols for having an off-year, or just pure laziness, it was still the worst decision I have ever seen by this good of a manager, and it might change the chances of contenders in the N.L.
