BCS TRAVISTY

by Frugolf

How can anyone with an IQ of over 50 give any credance to this system.

How can the # 1 team in the country lose their last game and then not

even get a BCS game? How can # 7 jump to # 2 when only 2 of the teams

ahead of them lost? One BCS voter voted Hawaii ahead of USC.Does anyone

not in a mental ward believe Hawaii would beat USC? I know they lost to

Stanford

but I'm talking about right now.I seriously don't know the absolute right way to

get a real champion.I do know that this isn't it.

At this point, I'd vote Hawaii over USC, but that's because they're undefeated and USC lost to Stanford.

It was settled on the field, Missouri lost. Just like in a playoff, a loss removes them from contention. Anyone with an IQ over 50 can realize this. As for Hawaii and USC, maybe if USC didn't chicken out of playing Hawaii, then we'd know for certain. (Yes Hawaii had another school cancel then called USC, USC was apparently scared of losing.)

Why did Hawai'i get a number 1 vote? BECAUSE THEY ARE THE ONLY UNDEFEATED TEAM! Any person with and IQ over 50 should easily be able to see that. EVERY ONE of the other 118 teams lost one or more games. Some of the logic that is used to defend other teams losses to unranked opponents needs to be applied to the team that WON ALL OF THEIR GAMES (read: they BEAT all of their unranked opponents). An NCAA-style playoff (you know like all the other sports, including non-1A football, have) is the answer that you are seeking. That is the only way to see who would beat who. Sure, on paper USC would kick Hawai'i's ass, but unfortunately they have to actually PLAY THE GAME. When playing the game, USC lost two of them, one of them that they absolutely won on paper. HAWAI'I IS UNDEFEATED. They played the games and won them all.
