About the site: BCS Fan Poll is a site where college football fans can submit their top 25 poll. The goal of the site to get a fan poll included as part of the BCS calculation. Anyone can signup. Everyone can vote. There are only two rules: # Put your bias aside (vote honorably). # Vote every week (vote regularly). It's really easy to sign-up and join: Just register for a free account. New users must go though a mandatory 4-week probationary period. At the end of the period the user requests to become an official pollster, and their voting history is reviewed. Any vote can be challenged at any time and if the majority agree, the user loses their official pollster status. This is the advantage of the site: All votes are public. Anyone and everyone can see any poll at all times. So, pulling a Steve Spurrier would get your official pollster status removed.

Uh, where is the 7-0 ASU? You rank Va Tech ahead of them, despite them only having one quality win and getting blown out by LSU?

They're #12 in the official poll. #9 and received 1 first-place vote in the non-official poll.

Kentucky, Florida, and Hawaii are ranked too high. Missouri is too low.

I really don't get Ohio State being ranked #1. USF has beaten Auburn AND West Virginia. Who has OSU beaten? Purdue? Youngstown State? Akron? Come on. OSU is #1 because they were ranked 11th and 10th in the pre-season polls. Since then, every team that was ahead of them has lost. The Buckeyes have simply crawled up the rankings as teams go down each week.

And this is a surprise exactly how? The polls have always worked that way, apparently even the fan polls. Do you really think that South Florida is the best team in the country right now? Do you really think that South Florida would beat Ohio State if they played on a neutral field?

I can see complaining about Boston College, or Arizona State, since they are currently on the outside sitting in for the NC game. But to complain between #1 and #2 when both get a shot at the NC is kind of pointless. Instead, we should be pleased that South Florida is ranked so high when they were left off most pre-season ballots and most people would have said "Are they a I-A team?" when asked about them before.

South Florida COULD beat Ohio State in a neutral location, or in Ohio Stadium. I don't know if they would. Good point, MECU. But ASU and BC haven't played anybody either. I honestly think USF and LSU should be 1 and 2 right now.
