Everyone is predicition happy right now, and so am I. I'll start with the division I know best, the AFC East.
A random story to start things off...Last night, I went to Patriots practice right after work. I got there, sat in the bleachers and watched my boys go to work. As I'm watching, a very tall, skinny girl with long brown hair, dressed in a tank top and mini skirt, is going up and down the bleacher stairs, accompanied by her mother, a blonde. I went out on a limb and assumed she wasn't into football, and was at practice just to see Tom Brady (I don't blame her).
Turns out, I was right. At the end of practice, as various Pats players walked by signing autographs, her mother shouts out "This is my daughter! She's with Gisele's agency!" with every player that passes, and takes a picture with every player that comes by. In case you didn't know, Tom is dating Brazilian supermodel Gisele Bundchen, so I guess Gisele and this woman's daughter had the same representation. When Mike Vrabel stopped by, the mother says, "This is my daughter, she's with Gisele's agency, we were hoping Tom would come by." Tom ended up not stopping by; it is worth noting that every single time that I have gone to training camp, Tom has signed autographs afterwards. Serves her right, meheheheheh. I'm sure this girl was a fine citizen, her mother just annoyed me.
On to the predictions...
1) J.P. Losman will be one of league's biggest pleasant surprises.
2) Thomas Jones will end up being the league's second best offseason acquisition.
3) Second to Adalius Thomas, who is going to breathe new life into an aging linebacking corps.
4) The Dolphins will regret passing on Brady Quinn.
5) Trent Green will be a shell of his former self.
6) Wes Welker will go to the Pro Bowl, as a kick returner or a receiver.
7) The Patriots will survive without Asante Samuel.
8) Marshawn Lynch will make Bills fans forget about Willis McGahee.
9) The Jets will win the AFC Wild Card.
10) The Patriots will win the division.
