Avalanche (Officially) Re-sign Budaj, McCormick

Although the news was broken right here on ArmchairGM yesterday, it was officially made public by the Avalanche today that they have re-signed goalie Peter Budaj to a 3-year contract. Budaj is slated to make $600,000 in the 2006-2007 season.
The Avalanche also re-signed forward Cody McCormick. McCormick has been in the Avalanche system since he was drafted in 2001.
Today's signings leave forwards Jim Dowd, Brett McLean, and Marek Svatos as the only three players left unsigned from last season. Dowd is an un-restricted free-agent who has been looked at heavily by Eastern Confernce teams in the off-season. McLean has filed for salary arbitration, and will most likely end up in an Avs uniform next season. Svatos has publicly stated his desire to return to the Avalanche, although no contract talks have been made public.
