Born on August 17, 1904 in Wilmington, Delaware, Augie Walsh (August Sothley Walsh) played for the Philadelphia Phillies for his entire 2 year career. Walsh broke into the bigs on October 2, 1927 with the Philadelphia Phillies, and put up a 6.18 ERA in 122.1 innings pitched in 1928, his rookie year.
