Attention Mets Fans!

I don't know if you guys saw this crap or not yet;

There's a millionaire dude who wants a new name and is willing to pay $25,000 to the winner of his contest. Although I am skeptical that it may be a cheesy ploy to come up with T-Shirt slogans and ideas (he got rich with T-Shirts), it seems legit.

Why am I putting this up on ArmchairGM? Because the dude says:

"I'm a HUUUUGE Mets fan and strive to own the team in 10 years. Fred and Jeff...I will make an offer you can't refuse (to all the fans, I promise I'll get Scott Kazmir back just in time for his decline and career ending arm injury)."

So I thought it would be relevant to the hoards and legions of Mets junkies and fans dedicated to the Armchair! Plus if you can possibly submit better ideas than me and win, I just want 20% commission/finder's fee... fair enough!

I noticed a lot of Seaver and Shea submissions. I almost entered Mookie Hubie, but I digress...

Why would he want a new name? This sounds like a publicity stunt. He's probably worked out he'll get > $25,000 from all the newspaper interviews, TV interviews, radio interviews and other such stuff, so it's just a business ploy.

Also, considering the payroll of the Mets is probably about $50-75 million a year, that would take a lot of funding for your average millionaire.
