Assist Ratio


Assist Ratio is an estimate of the number of assists that a player records per 100 possessions consumed. Assist Ratio is a better estimate of passing ability than Assists/G or Assists/40 Min. because, unlike those statistics, it is not biased against players who rarely get a chance to make plays. Assist Ratio is calculated:

AstR = 100 * (AST / (FGA + 0.44*FTA + AST + TO))
