What can I say? The Giants shocked the world last night. They put so many feet to mouths you would think New Englanders have fetishes. Now I'm not going to say it was Brady's ankle or complain about calls (but how the hell did Amani Toomer get away with that face mask in the first quarter). I congratulate the dozens of actual Giants fans, the millions of Patriots haters and the '72 Miami Dolphins who are still the only perfect team. Now the only thing that can stop them is Alzheimer's. Nevertheless, the Patriots have records that may never be touched and they didn't make it to the top of the perfection ladder but man oh man were they close.

As for the game itself, it was incredible (until the end). I watched a lot of Giants games this season (I don't know why they seemed to always be on primetime this year) so when the Pats went up 14-10, I knew that Eli in the 2 minute drill is like really Peyton like. Then the "sack", I have no idea how he escaped that pile but that was a classic "Holy S###" play. Sort of like Robert Horry open in the corner in the clutch, Vince Young with a running lane, or David Ortiz in the bottom of the ninth. When Tyree caught that ball, part of me braced myself for what was about to happen. Then came the Burress TD (why the hell wasn't Asante on him). Then came the Hail Mary, they should've had another reciever going down the right sideline I mean Tom is good but throwing 75 yards across is body? There is a few that can pull that off. As for the Belichick walking off the field, before you start saying your new favorite word classless bear in mind that half the team was wearing SB Champion hats before BB even took off his headset.

The Patriots didn't choke; the Giants went out and executed. Even though Patriots haters want to believe that Brady suddenly can't handle the pressure. I doubt two 30-something vets (Garcia, Favre) and the two best teams in the NFL(Patriots, Cowboys) ALL choked.

So the dynasty is over (even if they win another 4 in 8 or 4 in 9 doesn't sound as impressive as 3 in 4). But what bugs me is how unappreciative football fans are of what the Patriots did. So many people were rooting for failure but I guess years down the line they can look back and see that they could've witnessed something special. As for the Giants, no one remembers one and done teams and thanks for shutting up Tiki, as much as I would've loved a Boston triple crown at least some good came out of this. There's always next year. On to the next sport....Go Celtics!

The dynasty is over? Only the Steelers won 4 in 6. The dynasty is still alive, but could be coming to an end soon unless they break the bank this offseason

There never was a "Patriots dynasty". PS - NONE of the NFL's "other dynasties" lost a Super Bowl during their run...

Hmmm......they lost a Super Bowl, they have won 3 Super Bowls, all of the other dynasties won 4 and lost zero. So that means New England has to win the Super Bowl next year to be a dynastys of the 2000s.

So neither the Lakers nor the Celtics of the 80's were dynasties?

I don't want this stupid argument of whether the Pats are/were a dynasty or not. If you think winning 3 of 4 Superbowls is a dynasty, then it's a dynasty. If you don't, then it's not. Plain n' simple.

Your team lost, and you want the rest of you to pat you on the back and congratulate you for losing? And you wonder why the rest of us hate the Patriots and their fans?

Actually, America did witness something special - an underdog rising up.

Really, given that the rest of the world outide the East Coast can't stand either New York or Boston, it was a matter of picking which team to root against as much as which team to root for. When you add together Spygate, Bill Belicheck, a team that ran up the score whenever they could, and the just general overall arrogance and feelings of entitlement expressed by the team and media, it's no wonder people hate the Patriots and want to see them humbled.

That's right a David beat a Goliath. The dorkwad bested the BMOC. Screenwriters and movie producers rejoice! The football gods just gave you another freebee to butcher and mail in!

im not saying that they should be congratulated for losing i mean SB 42 could've been something historic just like some people remember where they were when the 72 Dolphins won or when Montana won it could've been the same. 20 years from now unless the Giants win another one they won't be remembered really.

Are you kidding? Of course, this will be historic, just not for the reason you want it to be historic. The Giants will be remembered as the team that took down the Mighty Patriots in one of the great Super Bowl upsets, while the Patriots will be thought of as a great team who choked when it really counted. Only the bullies and their mothers don't like to see the bullies get humbled.

I still think the Patriots were and have the potential to continue to be a dynasty. I assume they will bring back Moss and still keep plenty of fire power on offense and come back strong again next year.

Talk about records, How many road wins did the Giants have in a row? Was it 11, That's got to be a record.AS a real Giant fan since the middle 50's I stayed quiet. My Patriot fan friends kept telling me how bad they were going to kick ass.I'll be honest, I stayed quiet because 18-0 is nothing to sneeze at.They told me Plexico was nuts for thinking the G-men could hold the Pats to 17??? Who's nuts now?? Yopu can blame the refs for missing a facemask.I saw a hold on the kickoff that set up the Pats 1st TD.But face it , The Giants out played them , all you have to do is look at the stats to see that.It wasn't the refs, or the coaching, or Tom Brady choking, It was the Giants playing the perfect game at the perfect time.

Plaxico thought they could hold them to 17. He was wrong; they held them to 14.

"As for the Belichick walking off the field, before you start saying your new favorite word classless bear in mind that half the team was wearing SB Champion hats before BB even took off his headset."

When you are the Super Bowl Champions it ISN'T in bad form to start wearing the hats and t-shirts in the last few seconds.

It is in bad form to run purposely on the field knowing that the game is NOT over and ruin a proper celebration. Beli-cry-baby should be fined for pulling such a stunt. Actually, he properly ran off the field after Brady who was about to go and commit suicide (they are gay lovers)
