There are some things about sports I don't like... the New Yuck Muts, the University of Michigan and those ASSCRACK UGLY HELMETS, the Floridamn Gayturds and the Miami Crimicanes. I also think that NASCRAP and professional wrestling are a HUGE waste of air time on television and would rather watch women's Jello wrestling!

Walsh's next task: Send Isaiah packing

When the New York Knickerbockers (going old school here) annouced that Donny Walsh would be the team's new president, one could almost hear cheering from disgruntled fans in all five boroughs of the Big Apple.

The cheering could get louder if Walsh does the one thing that many fans want to see happen.

Fire Isaiah Thomas.

For the sake of an organization that featured such greats as Walt Fraizer, Willis Reed, Dave DeBusscher, Jerry Lucas, Bill Bradley and a young man from Georgetown named Ewing. Yes, that Ewing. They need to cut him loose. Thomas has seen fit to run this club aground faster than the Exxon Valdez, basically becoming that team's version of Captain Hazelwood.

Thomas was a better player than a coach and his record with the Knicks shows it. 53-102 after they lost to Memphis Wednesday night proves it. Thomas has not had a winning season since he left Indiana in 2003. This is a coach that told Stephon Marbury to "stay home." Stay home? It's like telling Bugs Bunny not to eat carrots.

If you add the lawsuit for sexual harrasment, which he lost, in which he made advances toward Anucha Browne Sanders and even called her a "bitch," as well as a dislike for season ticket holders and you have a man out of control. Not good. Not good at all. It's time for him to go, for the good of the club.

Isaiah Thomas has bitten the hand that fed him one time too many. Now it's time for the hand to strike back. They would love nothing more than to have an NBA title in NYC for the first time since 1973. They would love to right their ship. You can't turn the clock back but you can move forward.

It's time to restore order. To paraphrase a song in " Jesus Christ Superstar," "For the sake of this ballclub, Isaiah must go."

Here's how Walsh needs to go about fixing the Knicks: First, he needs to bring in his GM from Indiana, David Morway. Then, let Isiah go. Then revamp the lineup by letting Stephon Marbury's contract expire and then find a trade for either Zach Randolph or Eddy Curry that gets back contracts that expire by the summer of 2010. The Knicks will be far enough under the cap to make a run at a serious free agent like LeBron or Wade. Make a great draft pick this year and next year and develop young players like David Lee ... and the Knicks could be in very good position in the summer of 2010.
