UPDATE: As of Jan. 17, the accusor has withdrawn her complaint.

A Man That Should Stay Out Of Strip Clubs
A Man That Should Stay Out Of Strip Clubs
Surprise, Surprise. Suspended Tennessee Titans cornerback Adam “Pacman” Jones is in trouble again. Attorney Wanda S. Jackson has filed an application with the Fulton County (Ga.) Magistrate Court asking a judge to consider issuing a warrant against Pacman Jones to answer for an alleged incident. She alleges that Jones sucker punched her at an Atlanta strip club on Jan 3.

Based on the detailed description section of the application, Jackson states: “I was at the listed location, an adult entertainment club, when Mr. Adam Jones became very angry, he came in the office of the management accusing them of stealing money from him, of falsely accusing his entourage of owing a tab and of stealing a bracelet that he dropped. I was sitting in the office and he lunged at me numerous times in an effort to do grave bodily harm. Veronica Jones, an owner, went into the hall to deal with a member of his entourage. I followed to gawk. He was in the hall, surprisingly reached over or around a security guard and sucker punched me in my left eye.”

Jones is so busy that he has two attorneys. Manna Arora, his Atlanta attorney, did not immediately return a phone message and an email (from the DNJ) seeking comment. Worrick Robinson, Jones’ Nashville attorney was in court and unavailable for comment.

According to an official in the Magistrate Court office, a judge will review the application on Feb. 8 and determine whether a warrant will be issued.

To refresh your memory, NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell suspended Jones for the 2007 season for an accumulation of off the field incidents. He also denied Jones’ appeal for early return.

Goodell had intended to reassess the Jones situation after the Pro Bowl (Feb. 10). The Titans have said that they have a lot to sort out. They have not made any intentions clear regarding Jones.

I couldn't get past the title at first glance....too funny. Anyway, I think Jones and all of those other guys who have been arrested should not be in the league.....on the other hand...the NFL's image isn't too strong. Hmmmm

He's not guilty yet. He's not even a wanted man. She could be lying like the girl who made the allegation against the Duke LaCrosse players. However, he's like a lodestone for bad publicity. He just keeps putting himself in situations where accusations can be made.

Seems a little fishy to me. The authorities don't seem to hesitate when it comes to arresting Pacman. I would think if there was something to this that he would have been arrested.

I think once the wires get ahold of this, we'll know more. They can push harder than the Murfreeboro Tennessee Daily News Journal to get the facts.

My bad, I didn't even check to see if someone already wrote an article on Pacman. I gave you a vote, especially since you gave the whole story.

Looooove the title! :) It will be interesting to see how this works out. If charged and found guilty, is there ANY chance of this guy playing anytime soon? He needs to lock himself in his house until reinstated.

i think the sad part is;

He has one NFL season...which means he's only made a little cash. he could have so much more, and be in line for a big contract

also, he hasn't done anything of vickian proportions, but thanks to the likes of vick, no one wants that risk...at least not at top dollar

Pacman has hosed himself and because of the career span of a DB (especially one based on speed) he may have cost himself a career and many many millions...

Re:Justin I think your totally wrong on this one. Vick and Pacman are two totally different players with two totally different Legal situations. Pacman was a good CB that could also return Kicks/Punts. Vick had a short lived success because NFL teams hadn't seen a QB with so much athleticism, and had to find out how to gameplan against him. His career is over regardless of his legal situation because he's got a lot of baggage, and he was never that great of a QB. Pacman still has at least a contract of being a good CB.

instead of saying i'm totally wrong just say you really disagree with me

of course they have different legal situations, but the bottom line is, neither is going to see a live football until probably 2009...vick might be 2010...

the only difference is, vick's played a lot more and had his crime been something else (like robbery or something simple) he'd be outta jail and probably have a decent amt of cash...

Pacman won't get that...

I think I mushed together a couple of different ways to say it, sorry justin. My point isn't necessarily that the legal situations aren't troubling, but instead that Pacman has talent that can still be used, whereas Vick would be struggling to find a job once his contract was up regardless

Anyone think Pac-Man should just open his own club? At least that way he can only let in who he wants, and have only the girls he likes. Not to mention if anyone steals from him, they are his people. He is obviously addicted to the ladies of the pole, so why not just feed the monkey and just spring for your own joint?

Pacman just keeps finding himself in bs because he dosen't know to avoid BS before it begins. Even if this girl concocted some story, he is an idiot for putting himself in situations like this in the first place.

Let's hope he can straighten out his life. It doesn't seem like it but perhaps he will learn his lesson after this incident.

I wouldn't let him play until he has a full calendar year without incident.

What a waste.

Just want to add this incredible PacMan Quote. From the latest issue of The Source magazine, when asked if he was still frequenting strip clubs, Jones had this to say: "The strip clubs in Atlanta are nothing but another nightclub. It's not like they're selling [expletive] in the clubs. I wouldn't even go to a strip club unless it's in Atlanta. I'm 23 years old and really just enjoying my life. Besides, some of the strip clubs got the best food in America."
