Today’s Best Brought to you by Who Else but Chris Berman…What Will ESPN do, if Anything?

For nearly the past two weeks "The Best of Chris Berman" highlights have been showing up over on YouTube. Everybody by now has either seen or at least knows what the hell I’m referring to…I’ve highlighted two already in my spits and spats. His greatest hits highlight reel consists of a seven part, very amusing skits…Sure the material and content is nowhere on the level that we’d expect to find on The Man Show, however, I’ll admit it’s more entertaining than trying to sit through a Miami Dolphin game without popping a couple of "Deux-Deux-Deux’s", (if you haven’t got the slightest idea what the hell that is, I see you haven’t been reading my scuttlebutt…please refer to my previous spits & spats for analysis).

So this brings me to corrupt the minds of the select handful of readers who, well, read these shots…All the while doing my damndest to giving more and more publicity to "Chris Berman Undercover". Of these videos appearing seemingly from the darkside, it’s clear that Foxboro, Massachusetts isn’t the only one dealing with Spygate…For Bristol has their own version of "Spygate". It isn’t clear if after getting canned by the Patriots Matt Walsh resurfaced with his "spying tactics" on the Bristol campus or if it’s just simply one of his proteges, hmmm?

While the man behind the camera(s) still remains a mystery and who has no doubt surfaced on Bristol’s a "person of interest" list, one thing that I think everybody can put together is this camera person wasn’t a big fan of Chris Berman. All I can say to say is…Well, join the club, Padre! It’s quite apparent that the priority of releasing these "Spygate" videos has the sole intentions of getting Boomer fired! Now will this scheme work? Well, we all can wish upon a star, but ESPN cutting ties with Berman would be on the same level as when we all found out "I Can’t Believe it’s Not Butter" wasn’t really butter! Perhaps it’s margarine?

So how are these clips suppose to smear Berman’s name? Everybody has a potty mouth…If you don’t, my guess is your mama picked out your clothes all the way until you graduated high school! Although, that’s a whole different cup of tea that I won’t drink at this time! However, smuggling in codeine to this country from Canada, well, that…That’s getting border line Ricky Williams. I was always under the assumption smuggling things into countries was a crime, huh? Funny part is, Berman explains how he does it too…Oops, the cameras shouldn’t have been rolling!

Now for the latest video, meet the "Bottle of Wine" episode! Some may have seen this, while others don’t live in the YouTube world…But rather in the Caveman world.

[1]

Wait, wait…Is that Chris Berman giving a hug to "Rebecca" (0:09) ? I thought there was a "No Hugging" rule in place at Bristol? Hmm…Anybody seen Harold Reynolds lately? Nice "Dog ate my homework" excuse on that one Bristol! Oh I get it…The "No Hugging" rule wasn’t implemented back then, right? And my dog took a big ole dookie on my homework too!

As one can see throughout the clip Berman tries to impress "Rebecca" with his wine knowledge all the while appearing to have a "hidden" agenda for all of his wine hugging and sweet talking. Clearly under the "Bristol Code of Conduct" this behavior is not tolerated, (please see Harold Reynolds)…So then why is Boomer still employed and Reynolds got canned? Is this another "Rodney King thing" again? Clearly it looks like it! Now, I hate peeps playing the race card, but clearly "Spygate" video doesn’t lie! Nobody really knows the true story behind Reynolds firing, but you think he uttered the words, "I hope I’m there the next time you have the bottle!" All the while wearing a pair of "Beer Goggles"…Must have been too many "Deux-Duex-Duex’s"!

Clearly ESPN’s hoping this Boomer Firestorm goes away, wishful thinking if they do! For a corporation who just recently suspended Dana Jacobson for comments made while all liquored up at a roast regarding Notre Dame and Touchdown Jesus…A company who suspended Michael Irvin while employed at ESPN when a search of his vehicle by authorities found "substance" in his back seat claiming it was his "friends". To a company who fired Harold Reynolds, claiming a "hug" was inappropriate…Clearly the network can’t simply wash their hands of this, can they? One would think not…However, I wonder what’s the over/under on ESPN folks commenting on "Berman’s Best of the Best" highlights?

Couple words come to mind…Slim and None! My best guess is the ESPN brass will make like Jay-Z and Brush the Dirt Off Their Shoulders! Awesome! Of course, this is all subject to change if Congress feels the need to step in on this one!
