There are some things about sports I don't like... the New Yuck Muts, the University of Michigan and those ASSCRACK UGLY HELMETS, the Floridamn Gayturds and the Miami Crimicanes. I also think that NASCRAP and professional wrestling are a HUGE waste of air time on television and would rather watch women's Jello wrestling!

Time for Waddell to go, for the good of the Thrashers and Blueland

Yesterday, the Atlanta Thrashers, the defending Southeast Conference champions of the National Hockey League, said goodbye to one of their better players and a fan favorite, Marion Hossa. Hossa went to the Pittsburgh Penguins. The same man that is the current GM is also the head coach, Dan Waddell. Right now, in my mind, Dan Waddell is the most hated man in Atlanta since Sherman burned the place down. The team is currently ranked 14th in the Eastern Division and may not make the playoffs.

Waddell is incompetent to be a head coach. The Thrashers fired Bob Hartley early in the season. Since then, the team has not played to its full potential. Waddell may be the reason the team is in such bad shape right now in the standings and he trades one of the best players the city of Atlanta has seen since Tom Lysiak played for the old Flames.

Dan Wadell may be a pretty good GM but he is a LOUSY coach! Too bad the Thrashers can't rehire Bernie Geoffrion. At least he knew what the hell he was doing. It's time to defend Blueland and send Danny Boy back behind the GM's desk and not the bench. Atlanta may not defend its divisional title, let alone get to the playoff. But this change is needed.

I an honesty I think the Thrashers knew that they could not keep Hossa and went looking for the best deal they could. The Flightless Ones offered up a quality package in a gutsy grinding winger in Colby Armstrong, a young center who is brilliant in shoot outs in Erik Christensen, a top prospect in Angelo Esposito and a first round pick. I would wait to pass judgement on the deal from Atlanta's persepctive.

Kerrell, I understand where you come from in regards to your view of DON Waddell as a coach for the Thrashers, but I cannot agree that he's to blame from the GM side of things. PG is right, there was nothing he could do that would've made it safer on the team side to protect their future by trading Marian Hossa instead of allowing him to walk. It was inevitable for Hossa to be traded yesterday since he wasn't signing an extension by yesterday's deadline. You should actually give Waddell credit for holding out for the best possible deal he could. The Penguins took a major gamble by trading away three key chips to their organization just to get Hossa for potentially just a rental.
