According to an article in today's New York Post, Brian McNamee has implicated Debbie Clemens in his deposition to Congress.  According to McNamee, he injected Debbie with HGH in 2003 before her appearance on the cover of Sports Illustrated.  In a story that has more twists and turns then the Yellow Brick Road on its way to Oz, can this story get any stranger?

I will say that I am trying to keep an open mind on this.  I believe that every man is innocent until proven guilty.  In this case it is one man's word agains another.  I classic he said, he said scenario.  But McNamee went and brought Debbie Clemens into the whole mix, is it just to get under Roger's skin?  Is it possible he is trying to bate Roger into addressing the media on this issue to clear his wife's name?  Hoping that a mistake will happen?  Your guess is as good as mine.  I do know that if I was being implicated of wrong doing, and the accuser brought my fiance's name into the picture, my life at home would be a living nightmare.  I am not ruling out the fact that she very well could have done HGH, but her name now linked to it will put a serious strain on their family life.

I will now throw out there, what if they both did use?  What kind of example is that for their children?  It is OK to cheat, but only if you hit the big pay off?  I liken this to a possible Soprano's example.  Whenever you asked the wife or kids what their father did, they knew, but always said he was in the business of waste management.  Do you think the kids deep down know as well?  Just something to think about.

All in all, I expect this whole ordeal to be messy.  I think it is going to be one public shot after another.  I think Roger's life will never be the same, even if he is found to be innocent.  His association with performance enhancers will never be shaken.  He has taken the spotlight off of other current players that were named in the Mitchell report.  The face of steroids is slowly moving away from Barry Bonds and onto Roger Clemens.  Tell me Barry isn't the biggest Brian McNamee fan on the planet right now?

The bat probably comes in real handy considering Rocket's shrinkage from steroids.

I want to give this case a fair shake, but it's really hard to believe McNamee when he implicates the dude's wife, when it has absolutely no relevance whatever to the case. Also, every time he opens his mouth, he's got a new accusation to make. It's like he's making it up as he goes. Why didn't a peep of this come out in the initial investigation? Why didn't he say any of this before. It's incredibly difficult to trust a guy when he's constantly popping off at the mouth like this.
