There is rejoicing in the City of Angels

If you listen closely, you can hear 4 million people in Los Angeles singing “Hallelujah.”

Joe Torre finally realized what millions of Dodger fans all around the world have known for over a year:  Juan Pierre is only valuable as a pinch runner--granted, he’s $44 million pinch runner.

Andre Ethier will be the starting LF for the Dodgers and Pierre will watch from the bench where there is no possibility of popping out, striking out, misplaying a fly ball, or attempting to throw a ball with a wet noodle for an arm.

Life is good in Dodgerland.

Straight from the horses mouth.

I don't know Kip...in my softball league most of the pop flys that Pierre tends to hit, would usually get dropped so his speed would come in handy. He still can't throw for crap though.

take him, he's yours. Pierre will do very well on your Little League all-star team.

There's a Juan Pierre clone in the American League this year, too. His name is Jacoby Ellsbury.

if that's what you think, please ask Boston to send him to Oakland. Beane will gladly take him.

Ellsbury have that risk (not enough power to carry his game into the bigs consistently). though he's clearly not in the same power outage territory. i mean seriously. he hit 13 dinger between the minors and majors in around 3 season. that's already one more than Pierre's milb + mlb career.
