The Super Bowl!

This is like the 89347893247932742th Article on the super bowl, but I needed to write something. Since I have only been watching football as of late, I'll write this, enjoy.

As most should know, I'm a die hard Eagles fan. I remember the Ray Rhodes and Rich Kotite days. I remember and love/hate most of the Andy Reid days. I've grown to hate the Giants and Redskins but LOATHE the Cowboys. I remember Randall Cunningham to Fred Barnett and Calvin Williams. I remember Bobby Hoying and Ty Detmer. Now that I've defended my Eagles love I have this to say:

Let's go Giants!

That's right I said it. Let's go Giants. Why you ask? I am tired of the patriots and their pursuit of Perfection. I want it all to end, on the big show. I want Eli Manning to tear through those overrated LBs and I want Brandon Jacobs to run down Rodney Harrison's throat. This week, I will be rooting for Eli instead of wishing for him to play like the Eli of old. I want to see Kevin Boss, Plaxico Burress, and Amani Toomer completely show how overrated that defense is. I am anxious to see Usi and Strahan and Tuck completely demolish that Offensive Line. Tom Brady will be on his back more than his girlfriend when they're alone.

I like the Giants in this one, they have a great Head Coach (whoever says otherwise might want to look at what Tom did for Barber and is doing for Bradshaw and Jacobs and Eli). They have a great find in Spangulo, my ex-Eagles LB coach. Their defense scheme seems to be working to each players strengths. I'm hoping and praying for a Giants win. Sure I'll never live it down from Simms1156, or DNL, but I can't stand having to hear Boston fans anymore. It's tiresome. No, this is not jealousy, far from it. This is down right loathing of the Pats because I'm tired of hearing about them.

Go Giants!

Prediction: Giants 27 Patriots 17

haha, well i cant say i am anything even remotely close to a Giants or Pats fan, BUT... i have also been rooting for the Giants. I wanted the Colts to take it all and in a flare of curiosity, would have been cool to see the brothers face off. As for this game, I still think the Giants stand a good chance of winning as they have the past three games. Eli is on a high that he is going to ride as long as he can. If Brady makes another showing like Sunday, then it will be a long day in Gillette Statium.

Perhaps the "89347893247932742nd" article.

However, I'm looking forward to the Patriots win. They have all the right pieces in all the right places. The right coaches, quarterback, wide receivers, running backs and defense.

The Giants have found weaknesses in all three of their playoff opponents but that stops here. I'm sure the Patriots have weaknesses but not many.

The Patriots have shown strength of character and strength of will. They are on the precipice of sporting greatness. All that stands in their way is the Giants. I don't believe that that will be enough.

Patriots reach immortality. Win 41-17. Fourth superbowl in six years. The dynasty grows.

Seems like a no win scenario for you as a hater of the Giants and the Patriots. But I understand why you'll be rooting for New York. If the Patriots lose, you'll have some serious ammunition against Boston fans. But if New York loses, it's not as if they were supposed to win anyway. But I don't think our defense is overrated. Defensively, this is the best we've played all season. Six quarters without allowing a touchdown. That's pretty damn good.

It's a good defense no doubt but it's being overrated. The LBs are NOT that good. It's the system that plays to their strength and masks their weaknesses. Philly, B-More and New York have found the cracks. San Diego got 3 picks off Brady so he can be slowed by the ever superior pass rush of the Giants. I don't want ammo against Boston Fans. I have no issues with them in particular. I just want everyone to shut up about the Pats and them being undefeated is all. I will never say the Pats suck, because it's not true. Nor am I a Pats hater per se, just not an enthusiast lol.

Seau is soooo overrated, isn't he? You know, being a HOF LB is really not that good.

Rodney Harrison has been phenominal so far during the playoffs. In fact, he's been one of the best players so far during the playoffs.

Overrated teams can 4 straight times force a Field Goal by a very good offense.

There sure are some purty big cracks in this team. That's why the best teams have been able to do expose them for half a game.

You also totally forget that they're playing in a Desert. Low wind+warm weather= Tom Brady likely a lot.

I laugh at your sack expectation. The Chargers have a remarkable Defense, one better than the giants, but they barely were able to get their hands on him, much less throw him to the ground.

And you think the Giants will be able to stop Randy Moss, Kevin Faulk, Jabar Gaffney, Wes Welker, Daunte Stallworth, Laurence Maroney, and Ben Watson? I laugh at you. The Giants Secondary is not good enough to stop all the possible combinations the Pats have. As we saw yesterday, the possibilities for play calls are virtually endless

Seau: Yea a HOF LB about 7 years ago. Nice try.

Rodney harrison: Oh really? I guess playing dirty DOES get you somewhere in the NFL huh?! WOO! I'm glad he's considered "great" for 4 games. THat must make Sean Considine amazing huh?

Boy that offense was amazing wasn't it? Rivers had no knees, gates had no big toe, Tomlinson lost his Knee in Nam. Phew, what an offense.

You almost forgot an Eli manning playing liek he sould and playing on the toughest thing to do, win on the road not once, not twice but 10 times. You might also not notice that Brandon jacobs is bigger than most of the Pats LBs and as big as their D-Line. 3 Quarters of tackling him and Ahmad Bradshaw in the 4th running circles on the Pats? That'll be fun to watch.

Hmm Kazcur vs Tuck/Strhan, I liek the Giants Chances. Osi vs, Light? I'll still take Osi. I personally think Sam madison can stick with moss, madison is nto a bad or stupid DB. he's got experience and has played in this league a long time against some great WRs (Tim Brown, Rice, Carter, Moss, TO.) Aaron Ross has played beyond what i though and can handle his own with Stallworth. The biggest threat is Welker, but Webster is a bigger guy and if he can bump Welker all night and disrupt his routes I like the chances.

Oh how about 6'3" Amani Toomer vs 5'8" Hobbs? Not to mention Toomer is much better than anyone Hobbs has covered. OH OH how about 6'5" Burress with his 40"+ vert against 5'10" Samuel? Boy that's looking good already. Or how about Kevin Boss vs Bruschi? Seau? The only real cover threat is Thomas, I'll give the Pats that one if Thomas covers him.

I liek the Pats, their defense does what it is supposed to do, but it's not as good as people think. They're old, Belichik's and Spangulo's play calling are what makes it better than most. I'll still take the Giants in this one.

Secondly, Rivers was fine. I'll give him a bit of credit for playing the whole game but it seemed he was downplaying his whole injury -- better to give him ammo to talk trash to fans with.

Their offense struggled to get into the end zone, but they could move the ball. Harrison is, and always be, an underrated player because 1 He's a Safety, and 2 he plays "dirty".

Jacksonville had a better running game than the GIants do, and they couldn't get it done. The Giants will not be able to score with the run game.

Hmmmm. I think I'll take Shaun Phillips and Shawn Merriman, plus the Chargers front 3 over the Giants Defensive front every day, and they barely laid their hands on Brady.

I'll give you Stallworth and Moss. That still leaves Welker, Gaffney, Watson, and Faulk that will be demanding attention.

Did you watch Sammuel on Sunday? He can more than make up for his lack of height. I worry about Hobbs, because that was damaging in week 17, but I'm sure there will be damage control done there.

The LBs as a unit can keep the TE covered enough to force Eli to take another look.

Manny good QB's have tried to stop the Pats, but each and every one of them has collapsed when they needed to step up.

I feared Dallas the most of the NFC teams because they are the only one that had a good enough offense to match the pats TD for TD. The Giants were next because they had/have nothing to lose. If they win, they took down an all time great team. IF they get blown out, no big deal. It was expected

I like how Crack linked us to a REGULAR SEASON GAME where the Pats won by 3. WOO! THat sure put me in place

/endsarcasm

Ok, Maybe not as big as Wilfork. You got me there, that is one big son of a...well yea, he's big.

SHAUN PHILLIPS OVER OSI/TUCK/STRHAN/PIERCE? ROFL MY WAFFLE

You talk as if Gaffney is unstoppable. Um Hello? McQuarters on Gaffney is too easy. If Faulk is covered by someone not named Pierce, who doesn't excel in pass coverage, then Faulk can be handled.

Any team can keep a TE covered, but those LBs are undersized and Boss is huge, jump balls all day. I'm not worried about how much "better" the Jags run game was. Jacobs will wear down those DLs and LBs. It's a given. Then use Bradshaw as the change of Pace. It's been working. They beat great defenses in Tampa, Dallas and Green Bay, who's to say it won't work on the Pats? It almost did in WEEK 17.

So, we'll see :)
