The Fast Fifteen: Unlikely Questions to be Asked in the NFL Draft

It's baaaaaack. This was probably the easiest topic to do. Yes Trizz, I know you're happy. It's the fifteen unlikely questions to come up in the NFL Draft.

Image:Nfl-logo-new.jpg

15. To Chris Long: Congratulations Mr. Long, have you told your father that there is no such thing as a tibula?

14. To Mario Manningham: Well now that you're a New England Patriot, are you going to spread the pot around or will you just keep it to yourself?

13. To Jake Long: Are you Howie Long's son?

12. To Glenn Dorsey, asked by random ESPN reporter: Mr. Art Blank, the owner of the Falcons, wants you, in your first act as a member of his team, to eat Joey Harrington (not really a question, but I had to fit it in).

11. To Aqib Talib: See #14, but as an Arizona Cardinal.

10. To Ryan Clady, asked by Miss Teen South Carolina: So, if your field is all blue and stuff, why don't you call Idaho the Bluegrass State? (After rough translation)

9. To Sedrick Ellis: Do you promise to follow the line of the last couple of USC draftees, and get arrested?

8. To John David Booty: If you were a girl, would your parents name you Ivana?

7. To DeSean Jackson, asked by Emmitt Smith: I'm with here The Shaun Jackson, tell me and us Shaun, how does it feels to be cut by the Seattle Sonics...Se...Seahawks but drafted again by my Dallas Cowboys?

6. To Kentwan Balmer, asked by Seahawks fans: Who the **** are you?

5. To Vernon Gholston: Do you know there are no SEC teams in the NFL?

4. To Kenny Phillips: Do you have any character issues? But you went to The U, what the heck is going on?

3. To John Carlson: Seeing how fast you run, are you sure you didn't graduate from the Fred Biletnikoff (sp?) school of running?

2. To Quentin Groves, asked by John Madden: Are you aware that Brett Favre is Brett Favre and that.....

1. To Random QB, asked by Chicago Bears fans and journalists alike: It's been confirmed that we've released Rex Grossman and we will start you, (breaks out into chorus of Wind Beneath My Wings by Bette Midler)

Stay tuned, my #19 pick should be up later tonight on the AGM Mock Draft.

I literally cracked up over the Emmitt Smith one. (I refuse to use "LOL" because one, it's retarded, and two, it's become meaningless.)

On a serious note:

I'm getting sick of some of you elitists pissing on someone who's smoked marijuana...

All of these guys are young college males...according to the Office of National Drug Council Policy, almost 100 million americans have tried marijuana at least once and almost 50% of HS seniors have tried it...

The point is, its not a specialized situation and you guys ripping on it is a non-issue...

Hate to break it to you, but its slowly becoming decriminalized in numerous states (i believe possession of small amounts in mass is a misdemeanor)...given that, companies still reserve the right to drug test and they should

That being said, Manningham's response was:

"I don't use marijuana anymore -- and I have passed tests since," Manningham wrote in the letter. "I know what is at stake for me and my career. I am learning what it is going to take to be a professional. I am writing this letter because I just want a fair evaluation, and I want to be accountable for my actions. I am willing to be re-interviewed, re-tested and to undergo any evaluation any team wants me to undergo."

Very few if any private positions (i.e. not gov't) require a major drug test (beyond pissing in a cup, which basically tests habitual use and/or recent use)...so why should Manningham be held to a higher standard?

He made a mistake and owned up to it...i wonder how many didn't even do what manningham did?

That's okay.....go look at the archives and see I stood up for Ricky Williams. I really don't see what the big deal is, pot does not enhance your peformance.

no but its an illegal drug and decreases your performance in exchange for some serious relaxation...which i imagine would be nice after a tough football game...

I consider it as detrimental as alcohol, though studies suggest Marijuana is not addictive...

My point is, there are a lot (a lot) of people who have tried it and I'd bet a ton of them liked it...but it has detrimental effects and (at the very least) must be used with caution....

it makes you stupid and lowers your performance...but so does booze...to me, its a personal decision...

then again, how many great athletes do you know who still go out and get smashed on their days off?

Actually, I read a magazine article once that suggest that all things being even, if MJ and alcohol entered the world today, Alcohol would be illegal and Marijuana would not... You can blame the 60s era Johnson administration and then Reagan actually...

The illegalness of pot goes back all the way to the 30s I believe when it was in heavy use by "colored" jazz and island musicians, that's a whole history lesson in itself I'm not gonna bother with on AGM.

I do believe that marijuana should be decriminalized, but I will say that long term regular pot use can lead to behavioral disorders.

The reason that professional athletes are held to a higher standard is their status as potential role models for young people.

And pot is only a performance-enhancer for football players if there's a giant box of Pop Tarts in the endzone.
