The Hershey Bears (AHL) begin a three consecutive game schedule tonight, facing the River Rats in Albany, then coming home for a Saturday showdown with Philadelphia, then heading to Philadelphia on Sunday.  The high octane Bears stunningly got shutout by Houston 6-0 on Wednesday.

The Bears are 7-2 sitting atop the East Division, 3 points ahead of Bridgeport.  The recent Houston shutout of the Bears was stunning because of the fact the Bears have been a offensive juggernaut so far this season.  Six of the nine game splayed, the Bears have scored 5 or more goals,  In three of the games, the Bears netted 8 goals.

With the infusion of some of the Washington Capitals best prospect talent, the Bears were expected to significantly improve this season and return Hershey to the playoffs and a run for the Calder Cup. They have not disappointed.  The offensive prowess has vaulted several Bears into the AHL leaders.
