Steve McNair Has Passed Away

Shocking news from the football world today as former Titans and Ravens quarterback Steve McNair, one of the toughest, most successful mobile QBs in NFL history, was found dead of a gunshot wound to the head in Nashville, TN. Details are still sketchy at the moment, but whatever happened, McNair is no longer among us. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his wife and children right now; McNair was always a family man and I really feel for his family during this difficult time. Again, shocking news, R.I.P. Steve McNair.

I never 'liked' McNair, as he was frequently an opposing QB against the Steelers, but I always respected him. He was a quality QB and always carried himself with class and pride. This is the kind of guy the NFL should be championing.

What does it seem as if everybody is dying. It's crazy now. But in all seriousness, you really feel bad for a guy like McNair, who was known as a great person in addition to a great quarterback. R.I.P. Steve.

After hearing about McNair having an affair does at the time of his death, does anybody feel less sorry for him? I know this probably isn't fair to him at all, but the fact that he wasn't lying behind behind his family's back makes him less likable. While I sincerely don't mean to disrespect him in anyway, I am just kind of feel less sorry for him than I did before hearing about this. Still feel sorrow for him - just less than I did before. Am I crazy?

No you're not, at least not completely. I see what you're saying and I think that the news of him having an affair with a 20-year old girl when he has a wife and several kids at home is more shocking than the news of his recent death. So I'm right there with you, in a way. Tough to feel sorry for him after this news. As for his family? Very, very sad. R.I.P.

Ya, I actually feel way worse for the family. They get 2 bombs on one day. 1.) Their father/husband is having an affair. 2.) He is killed. Two huge land mines and hard to be placed on even the strongest of families.
