How is this the best thread ever? It's everything that was talked about in the banning of Stiles. It's insulting, threadjacking and not sports-related. I agree with LA that this 'article' should either be deleted or ignored.

Technically I could take the comments template off and protect the page.

I could also delete this train wreck and forget it ever happened but because another user (LASB) edited the article they become co-authors and thus it can't be deleted.

We do have comment-admins available than can delete every comment made here though.

I'm thinking that it might be wise to ban comments altogether, as there are so few on legit articles anyway. Every time a question of lack of activity comes up, the idea of voting and commenting comes up, and nothing changes.

Then this article comes along, and Stiles proves his point. Things like this do not inspire me to want to write. I liked the comments and banter that went along with an article. Especially on one I wrote. But if folks aren't going to comment (except on threads like this), then maybe I'm wrong. Maybe this site is dying.
