There are some things about sports I don't like... the New Yuck Muts, the University of Michigan and those ASSCRACK UGLY HELMETS, the Floridamn Gayturds and the Miami Crimicanes. I also think that NASCRAP and professional wrestling are a HUGE waste of air time on television and would rather watch women's Jello wrestling!

Some of us are shoveling snow for the billionth time and cussing under our breaths. We can't wait for Spring. Let's face it. To be on a beach in a warm climate surrounded by hot babes that look like they just walked out of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue, knocking back a few cold ones and that occasional margaritta. Here's what I'm looking forward to in the Spring....

Tiger Woods to begin his sweep of the four majors, starting at TPC Sawgrass and going through the PGA like Sherman went through Atlanta.

The NFL to have its best draft ever.

Danica Patrick to win the Indy 500.

The Atlanta Braves win the NL East, the NL Crown, and a trip to the World Series.

The Boston Red Sox to go back to the World Series, only to lose to the Braves.

The Chicago Cubs to have Kerry Wood and Jon Lieber injury free.

Baseball to clean up its act regarding steriods.

Division 1A Football to WAKE up and smell the Starbucks!

Barry Bonds to admit he did use drugs.

A new champ in men's college basketball. Florida's reign of terror is going to come to an end.

Well, that's it. For now. I've got to go back and thaw out.

Yes and no.

I do not dislike the Patriots one bit. On the contrary, to me they epitomize what a team is, a bunch of less than superstars playing the game the way it should be for the benefit of everyone, not the individual. No team can beat another team in as many ways as the Patriots can.

As far as what's his name goes, I've clearly and frequently stated my case, and it doesn't behoove me to do so again. Then all the wagon jumpers will come out of the woodwork and minus all my comments all the while knowing everything I said is true.

Let me set something straight. Brady is not the greatest of all time, I would pick Montana over Brady. Brady is a great QB, hall of fame credentials, works well with mediocre receivers. But, I hate the fact that A.) Pats fans think Brady is the equivalent to a being almighty, and B.) These "pundits" are coining him to be the greatest of all time. You know who gets credit for Brady's 26-28 night? Not the receivers, not Welker, who caught a crap load of passes, not Stallworth, but Tom Brady. Admit it, the media has every right to be enamored with him, he has won 3 Super Bowls, but no way is he the greatest. If he shatters more records in the next few years, then we'll talk.

SSR, you can point to the addition of great receivers (although Wes Welker was hardly considered great before this year) as an explanation for Brady's statistical upsurge, but what hasn't changed from the mediocre receivers to great receivers has been the winning. This 17 game win streak the Pats are riding is their SECOND LONGEST with Brady at quarterback. The Pats were 82-26 (counting the playoffs) with Brady as their starter coming into this season. That's .759, and an average of 13.7 wins a year. And that was before Moss and Welker. Is the winning all because of Brady? NO! But he is a very significant part of it. Not as significant as the national media portrays, but more significant than Kelsdad portrays.

KD was attacked by FP in a previous post where I think he called KD like so goddamn stupid that he knows nothing about football or something along those lines.

KD is callous, the easiest way to deal if you can't have a calm debate without personal jabs or becoming increasingly immature then ignore KD. He will piss you off and get under your skin and make you mad, he's really good at it. If you can take it, then get in the ring and fight fair. If you can't don't jump in the ring. You will make, as FP knows, a huge mistake if you start name calling and defending Brady or whomever the topic is without substance. To just say, "Brady's great and you're an idiot" is a surefire way to get yourself into something you have no chance of winning.

I've never intentionally tried to offend someone, unlike someone. And if I did I'm not above apologizing, but remember, I've been around sports alot longer than all of you and have seen alot more than all of you.

Actually, KD, in this thread you've done pretty much everything but debate. You've made personal attacks in an effort to annoy. You've tried dismissing opposing arguments without addressing them, either by citing your age as some sort of proof that you are right, or by generalizing New England fans as homers.

So what are you afraid of, KD? It's a subjective argument, so it's not like anyone can prove you wrong. You claim to be this older, wiser, statesmanlike, expert. So act like it instead of acting like a baby.

Now that Moss has somebody who can make those double coverage throws in places where he can get to them, he puts up record setting numbers. Tiger should start at Augusta if he wants to win the slam.TPC @ sawgrass just won't get it done.Who's the wise guy that had to bring Blair Thomas into this.Leave Penn St.grads alone.Everybody knows Tom Brady would be nothing without Kyle Brady.

I think I kinda killed the joke. I should've had LASportsBlog try one more time. I think it would've been funnier if they weren't in separate comments.
