Missed the game? So did a lot of people, the crowd was pretty much dead for Game 2 as Rich Harden shut down the Sox. Harden allowed only three hits in six innings. Sean Casey made his Sox debut as a pinch hitter, grounding into a double play. "Rookie Sensation" Brandon Moss went one, two, three strikes your out one, two, three times. As for the dynamic duo, Big Papi went hitless again and Manny actually hit one over the fence this time to provide the only Sox run. Jon Lester was pretty mediocre leaving a lot of balls up and ended up giving up a 3 run blast to Emil Brown who made amends for that imbecilic baserunning yesterday. The Yankees are now .5 game out of first place in the AL East. Now it's back to spring training for lord knows what reason.

Well, you can't win them all, can ya... I guarantee you that Manny is going to have a great year this year. Two games with 5 RBIs already. I hope he's like this all season. Lester, on the other hand, did not pitch well. It's OK though. He's still young, and has got all of this season to prove that he can still pitch.

Damn, I knew I shouldn't have come to AGM this morning. You see, I was trying to avoid the score so I could watch the re-broadcast on ESPN this afternoon. Now that I know what's going to happen... aw, hell, you know I'm still going to watch.

How are the Yankees (or any other AL East team) a half game out?

I know. If anything, the Red Sox are in last place (half a game behind everyone).

Exactly, shouldn't everyone be tied? For instance, NY is 0-0 and we're 1-1. GB is calculated by averaging (leader W - team W) and (team L - leader L), so for NY it's the average of 1 and -1, which is zero. Same thing goes for all the other inactive teams.
