The name's Ben Heck. I am 17-years old, and about to start my senior year at Queen Anne's County High School in Centreville, MD. I stand at 5 feet 8 inches and weigh 140 pounds. I am a Marylander, but I have been a Pittsburgh Steelers fan my entire life (my dad is from Pittsburgh).
I love writing, and talking about sports here on AGM, and I plan on going to a University to major in communications and/or sports management.

Skip is a Hockey Hater

To all of you Hockey fans: Skip Bayless doesn't think Hockey is a sport.
I am not the biggest hockey fan, but I do watch it sometimes, and I really enjoyed the outdoor game between the Pittsburgh Penguins and the Buffalo Sabres, in which the game's biggest star, Sidney Crosby, scored the game-winning goal in a shootout to give Pittsburgh the 2-1 edge. On "First and 10" a few minutes ago, socalled "expert" Skip Bayless bashed the NHL's decision to let Buffalo host an outdoor hockey game in the Buffalo Bill's Ralph Wilson Stadium. Skip even said Hockey is not a sport, SAY WHAT!?!?!?! It may not be as popular in the U.S. as Football, Baseball, or Basketball, but it certainly IS a sport which requires ALOT of athleticism. I remember a user on AGM a while ago wrote an article about why hockey isn't a sport, and said that anybody that could skate can be a hockey player. But, I bet he's never tried playing hockey before in his life. I am not big into hockey, but I know enough to say that Hockey is as hard as Football, and that it is probably alot harder to play than Baseball, and Basketball.
People really need to stop bashing Hockey, I don't know what people have against it, but they obviously don't know what they're saying. Skip is turning into a well-hated person (if he wasn't already), just like many other ESPN personalities (i.e. Stephen .A, Jay Mariotti, etc, etc, etc).
I think i've said enough about this subject, and I think i'll let our Hockey experts FrankD, Rawb, Metsjetsdevils, and others who know alot about hockey to say what they think about this bashing of hockey.
