What's up. My name is Amir, I love sports, A HUGE fan. My Passion and Soul is in Footbal "Soccer", I know mostly everything there is about it. I also love Baseball, Basketball and American Football, in that order. I do my best not to be biased to one team, or any for that matter. I am a huge Real Madrid fan, but I give credit where credit is due. So if Barcelona, Valencia or any other team for that matter, I will not bash them because I can. I love sports and it's fans because for me it is a intoxicating drug that gives me something to do. The only thing I hate are fans who have some narrow minded opinion on something. It is a right for everyone to have a say but please make an educated and reasonable opinion or point of view.

Saviola...For Sale!!

Madrid, Spain: La Liga Champions Real Madrid have put Argentinian striker Javier Saviola on the transfer list for next season. Manager Bernd Schuster has not been impresed with the striker's preformance this season, and he, as well as several other Real Madrid fans, have "lost their faith in him ".

Reported through "Marca" Sports Magazine, Schuster has reported that Saviola missed many oportunities on goal one, which was against Mallorca in the Spanish Cup. This could have led to an early goal, for Saviola had arrived from Real's arch rivals, Barcelona, after his contract had finished with them and arrived in a surprise move to the Spanish Capital to play for Madrid.

It's a shame to lose such a talented player, but I do agree that Saviola has missed many chances on scoring for his team. Not profusely, but Saviola is known to get benched on most teams he plays on such as Barcelona, Sevilla, and (currently) Real Madrid.

Yeah, I heard about this already. It's been pretty weird. A lot of players from Real Madrid have come up big on offense, and Saviola is (or was) known from scoring from almost any position. For the past couple of years, his goal stats dropped down... WAY down. He usually scored around 20-25 goals in a season and was relied on a lot during what we can now say the prime of his season. You know how many goals he has scored so far this season? 2. 2! That includes continental games AND Domestic League games.

Sure, his goal numbers will drop because of the fact that Real Madrid has such a great offense: Raul, Robinho, van Nistelrooy, etc. However, 2 goals so far this season is pathetic. And he has gotten many chances.

I think that Madrid would be better off trading him and getting a younger player with the amount of talent and potential that Saviola had. They have enough money to buy anyone.

No such thing as a "trade", Romi. A team will either pay a transfer fee for Saviola, or a fee + part exchange deal. It's never called a "trade". :)

I should know that. I've been in Kuwait for 12 years now. How stupid silly of me.

Thanks for that, Alex.

Regardless, they should get rid of Saviola. ;)

Romi i Dont really Agree, yes they should Transfer him out no problem, but you can't really score goals unless you play, he played 2 Games in La Liga this Season only and in both he scored 1 Goal, now if he had played the same amount of games Raul has (28 Games) he might have scored the same amount or more Than Raul right now (15 Goals). You have got to remember Saviola is a naturally born striker, meaning that he has great Pace (Stamina), balance and a Great Scorer, to bad they didnt use him enough..

Like I said above, A QQ his goal numbers dropped tremendously because of the fact that Real Madrid has such a great offense. I didn't know that he only played 2 games in La Liga. MY BAD!

However, when you're talking about a team whose strongest asset is offense, I would definitely transfer someone more than decent who you're just going to have sit on the bench for... I don't know. What does Real need to improve on? Better defense, maybe... I don't know.

Real Madrid is just stacked, OK. That's the bottome line. Saviola sitting on the bench proves it.

Oh By the Way, Van Nistelrooy is injured for the rest of the season since like 5 weeks ago...and Robinho is an Left Winger more than a striker as for Raul an amzing no doubt but he is 31 and he cant really finish all the games, so why not use Saviola than just sitting him, you cant always be a perfect shot on goal, its the coaches choice....

Van Nistelrooy injury won't affect Real Madrid that much, because Madrid has got other players that take his sport and score "GOALS". Van us goal scorer thats it, and Raul has done a tremendous change from last year, he is running fast, getting more involved with team and is doing a great job filling in Van spot as goal scorer. Age is 31, however he doesn't have to run that much since he is already been set to stay close to the other team territory and score goals. Saviola in the other hand, is doing a good job scoring goals in the games he played, but he has lost and shot the ball out many times, scoring a goal per game can be great deal, but losing many chance to help a team win is very crucial as well. If he could fix his errors and get himself to act straight, with no doubt Madrid would keep him.

Exactly our point, Salman. Van Nistelrooy is a forward... a guy who scores goals for Real. With him being injured, even if it is one player, with a key player being injured, it's like a part of a machine that is missing a part. It might work, but it might not work as well, or at least you be used to it. With Saviola hardly playing, him being kept on the team wouldn't affect the team negatively or positively. It'll be hard to replace such talent, but money isn't an issue for Real, and with the lineup that they have for the team as of now, it doesn't look like they have many weaknesses (as I've stated above several times).

Van Nistlrooy, is great player if this was last year then you could have said his injury would have big part of a machine missing. With the guys taking their roles seriously, Real Madrid can win the La Liga easily with no Problem. Madird should be looking forward in becoming la liga champions for 2 time in row making it their 31'st times winning this title.
