Russian Missile Strikes

The Boston Bruins rode into Washington DC on Monday with a nice six game winning streak. They left with the memory of being destroyed by Alexander Ovechkin and the Washington Capitals. The Capitals who currently sit in tenth place and six points behind the Bruins, put up a ten spot.

The Capitals were up by six goals by the end of the first period. Help by Ovechkin’s first period hat trick. It was the worse loss for the Bruins this year and a season high in goals for Washington.

The Bruins will look to rebound from this awful loss and keep in the playoff chase when they host Florida on Tuesday.

What a game he had. Sometimes it's easy to forget about Ovi here in Pittsburgh, But then he does something like this and it all comes back. Hockey is in a great position right now. They have a good deal of great vets and now a slew of young talent. Sid, Ovi, Malkin, the Staal family and more on the way. I have a feeling the Caps are going to have a lot of good seasons here in the future.

Yeah I can see either becoming like the old Oilers teams that were loaded with future HOFers.

They have definttly prepared for the future, with the trade to get Huet from Motreal, and with Ovi for 13 years they should be a team that is looked back on as one of the best

Being in the worst division in hockey doesn't hurt the caps either. If the can keep performing as well as they did last night, they'll get to represent the Southleast in the playoffs.
