Ronaldo to seal stamp of greatness?

Pele, Maradona, Cruyff , Zidane. Would one put Christiano Ronaldo in this list as well? In just a few hours time Ronaldo would know if he can stake claim to being one of the best footballers of all time. Zidane proved his point in the champions League Final against Leverkusen with that wonder volley. Pele and Maradona have all proved themselves at the world stage. Ronaldo though he has had a record breaking season brings it all down to the Champions League Final. He is leading the goal tally with 7, one ahead of tonight's rival, Dogba. He was instrumental in United's Premiership title scoring 31 goals. Ronaldo showed his skill in the 1-0 defeat to France in the 2006 world cup semi, but knows he can only be classified as a great depending on todays game. Ronaldo had proved himself but at a narrower stage as compared to the greats who have all show cased their talents in world championships and not so much in the league. He has his chance against arch rivals Chelsea whom surprisingly he has never scored against. He will just be longing to break the duck tonight. Being a United fan I can only hope that he lives upto his expectations and does not disappoint. Even though a game of soccer cannot be won by a single person but you can be sure that Ronaldo will have a say in the matter.

No doubt that Ronaldo had one of the best seasons ever for a Premier League player. I still say he needs to go a bit before he enters that esteemed list of players.

True, but I'm just thinking if he scores or plays brilliantly and they win, will the public see him in the same light as the greats. He is just 23 and has a long way to go but will this be a defining moment.

Ronaldo no doubt played amazing this season, also i think its a bit to early put Ronaldo on that list containing "Pele,Maradona and Zidane" this is just the Beginning to his Career. Give him a couple of years and he could reach the status of Pele,Maradona....etc or maybe even higher....

Should Ronaldo be in the LIST? no. But, can he get in the LIST? yes. Ronaldo has to fix his team work ability, and break down his cockiness...and for once not to think about his hair when he's playing a game. Zidane, prove himself in the world cup how an amazing player her is. Beside the head bunt problem, he single handly whooped Brazil in the World Cup match, Brazil that has 5 world cup wins the most wins in the World cup, a team that has most of the amazing players in the world, he himself took them down, once C.Ronaldo can reach a level as Zidane then he can have his name in the LIST.
