If you're an NFL fan, as are many people (and yours truly), you were both surprised and excited to find out that today was the day that the National Football League revealed its schedule for the upcoming season. Here is Big Blue's path to defending their Super Bowl championship. Behold the All-Nite Images:

Preseason

  • Monday, 8/18 vs. Cleveland Browns

Regular Season (all times ET)

  • WEEK 1: Thursday, 9/4 vs. Washington Redskins (kickoff moved to 7 PM so as not to interfere with US Republican convention)
  • WEEK 2: Sunday, 9/14 @ St. Louis Rams, 1 PM
  • WEEK 3: Sunday. 9/21 vs. ]]Cincinnati Bengals]], 1 PM (here's hoping Big Blue puts Ocho Cinco's foot in his mouth)
  • WEEK 4: Sunday, 9/28 BYE
  • WEEK 5: Sunday, 10/5 vs. Seattle Seahawks, 1 PM
  • WEEK 6: Monday, 10/13 @ Cleveland, 8:30 PM (the G-Men's only Monday night appearance this year)
  • WEEK 7: Sunday, 10/19 vs. San Francisco 49ers, 1 PM
  • WEEK 8: Sunday, 10/26 vs. Pittsburgh Steelers, 4:15 PM
  • WEEK 9: Sunday, 11/2 vs. Dallas Cowboys, 4:15 PM (will PacMan Jones be there?)
  • WEEK 10: Sunday, 11/9 @ Philadelphia Eagles, 8:15 PM
  • WEEK 11: Sunday, 11/16 vs. Baltimore Ravens, 1 PM
  • WEEK 12: Sunday, 11/23 @ Arizona Cardinals, 4:15 PM
  • WEEK 13: Sunday, 11/30 @ Washington, 1 PM (Everybody sing together: On the road again, the Jints are going on the road again...)
  • WEEK 14: Sunday, 12/7 vs. Philadelphia, 1 PM
  • WEEK 15: Sunday, 12/14 @ Dallas, 8:15 PM (A potentially big NFC East showdown on JB82 Birthday Week may or may not be a victim of flexible scheduling)
  • WEEK 16: Sunday, 12/21 vs. Carolina Panthers 1 PM (Deck the halls with home finales, fa la la la la, la la la la...)
  • WEEK 17: Sunday, 12/28 @ Minnesota Vikings, 1 PM (May not be a big time deal, ya know)
