NFL without Player Movement and Free Agency

A primarily fantasy outlook at what the NFL might look like if free agency, trades, and undrafted free agents weren't present. It's obvious that most teams would have drafted differently under these circumstances but its interesting to see what positions teams have overlooked.

To avoid controversy over who would start, etc. etc. the top ranked quarterback and top yardage ends and backs of the 2007 season are provided from what would be each team. (I honestly don't believe the Browns, Cardinals and Redskins would bench their recent first round pick QBs but for the sake of this they are). Injuries and suspensions are not included as all stats that were put into account were overall, not per game, etc.

Interesting read, but your research doesn't consider the effect of the current players on the roster during the draft. Your comment is absolutely correct, most teams would have drafted completely differently.

I agree...

Also, Perhaps considering whether the player left the team (free agency) or he was released. In the case of Derek Anderson, I believe the Ravens released him and he might be available...

but yeah, interesting thought...

yeah, it was really neat to see the players on my team on OTHER teams (Hasselbeck, Engram). I like it.
