AGM Linebacker and I will bring the pain.

I'm a sports fanatic. I hail from Nelson County Virginia, and thats where I learned to be a Virginia Cavalier fan. I also learned to be a Dallas Cowboys fan because I hated how good the Redskins were doing. I've played sports at almost every level with the exception of being a fulltime professional, as a result I have a great perception on the sporting world. I love to talk sports and I've never been shy to share my opinion with someone.

Alright since football season is in full swing, Walker-Sports is up and running at full speed. As part of our ongoing effort to be the best sports blog on the net, we will live blog the remainder of the games taking place today. These are some of notes that I took down yesterday while watching football.  Think of it as a behind the scenes view into the inner working of my mind.

Tom Brady goes down in the 1st qt with a knee injury. This could be very very bad for the Pats.

The Eagles look like they are ready to make a run this year. McNabb looks better than I have seen him in years.

The Jets look better, but still need a lot of work on their Oline.

The Rams offense looks horrible right now.

Well Randy Moss seems to remember how to get into the endzone.

The Steelers look very good against Houston. I really thought this could be a breakout year but they will need to weather the storm of a tough couple of opening weeks.

Looking around the league, offensive line play is so important. I know having a good D is big, but without the big boys up front your team is just dead.

It's hard to say if Atl is that good or are the Lions that bad once again.

If McNabb can remain healthy the Eagles could be really really good.

I can actually feel the heat coming off of Marvin Lewis's seat. Things are not good in Cinci. Not good at all.

Wow Dallas looked good on the opening drive.

Mmm... the Pats don't look as good without Brady.

A lot of teams look rusty today, and to think they are talking about shortning the pre-season.

Jake Delhome is back, wow what a completion to win that game.

The game that went under the radar this weekend, was the Titans beating the Jags.

The consensus I glean from much of the internet is that the best teams in the AFC going into the season were Indy, NE, SD and Pitt. Two of the four lost with another one of them losing their MVP QB for an undetermined amount of time.

Could be an interesting year.

Looks like only one of those teams came out looking like the team to beat in the AFC. I think the questions regarding the Steelers O-line have been partially answered. Other than the O-line, the Steelers were stacked so things are looking up. But, I am still hesitant to declare the Steelers the front-runners until I see them play a top tier team.

I wouldn't rely on Parker having that kind of game every week though. He's always been too much of a boom or bust type running back for my taste.

I honestly thought that Houston was gonna make a game of it. I guess I was just drinking the kool-aid.

I agree entirely about Parker. I have known Parker critic. If Mendenhall can develop into the back he is supposed to, it will make up for Parkers inability to pick up the tough yards when he has too. Time will tell. All that said, Parker was leading the league in rushing last year when he went down with a broken leg.

Eh he wanted to at least get his kicker on the field so he can say he played.

Three things:

>If the Cowboys offensive line is really as good as they looked against the Browns, I don’t give the rest of the NFC much of a chance.
>The Lions really are that bad.

>The fantasy football waiver wire stampede to pick up Rosario begins this morning.

Cleveland's Defensive Line ain't exactly stud-filled...I mean, Shaun Rogers just stopped trying (Or just went to McDonald's, not sure which)

I know JuT. Add to that the fact that Cleveland only rushed three on several plays and you get a lot of bored Dallas offensive linemen. But the dominance was unmistakable. I noted the Dallas line performance in a game review last year. This year looks to be more of the same.
