NFL Power Rankings

2008 Pre-Season Ranking (Updated 7/22/08) By Paul Bessire, WhatIfSports.com July 22nd, 2008

WhatIfSports.com presents its updated pre-season NFL Power Rankings. The site utilizes its award-winning football simulation engine to present the most comprehensive and unbiased ranking possible of all 32 teams in football each Monday during the regular season. To come up with the rankings, using only their statistical performance to date this season, each team is simulated against every other team 100 times.

For this run, all rosters and depth charts (i.e. Kellen Clemens now likely the starter for the Jets over Pennington) are up-to-date through July 22nd, 2008. The previous Power Rankings coincided with the 2008 NFL Season Preview (where the Patriots defeated the Cowboys in Super Bowl XLIII).
