Minnesota Twins...New Uniforms?

Yes to the first two. No to the sleeveless! I abhor sleeveless with a white hot passion!

I like 'em. Improvement over the one's they're wearing now, that's for sure.

Road cap and Alternate jersey look like Cincinnati rip-offs from the past.

Forgive my ignorance, but shouldn't the road jersey say Minnesota?

I thought that at first also, but then realized that 4 other teams have their team name on their away uniforms. Milwaukee Brewers, St. Louis Cardinals, LA Angels of Anaheim and Baltimore Orioles.

Well Cheezer, if you think back to the 80's, many teams used the same word mark on both uniforms. Mets, Mariners, Royals, Blue Jays, Astros, Dodgers. It started switching over again right when Baseball started using more button downs and less pullovers.

So actually, team names is tradition.

An actual Date: 1987 the Twins, Mets and Braves switch to the city name. Just to name a few teams.

I like the home and away jerseys. "Minnesota" is too big to fit on a jersey and still have it look good. The alternate jersey looks exactly like Cincinnati's, though. And I hate the sleeveless jerseys with a passion.

I don't want the Twins to change their uniforms. I've enjoyed them over the last 23 years. They're simple, yet not outdated. I especially like the wordmark font on the front of their home jersey they have now. They won two World Championships with them. However, I would be open to those jersey styles on here as an alternate set, not a primary one.

I must say that I prefer the old unis. I especially dislike alternates, as i believe that they aren't necessary, except to generate more revenue in jersey sales. For some reason the home and away jerseys remind me of knock-offs that want to make Twins jerseys but can't use their logos due to licensing (too generic-looking, I guess).

for those of you not old enough to remember the script on the front of these is actually a blast from the past. this is the same script that the twins used from 1960-1986 (killebrew, carew, oliva, allison, kaat, blyleven, etc). they had "twins" on the front of both home and away during that time as well. not minnesota. also, they only wore the "TC" hat representating minneapolis/st. paul metro for both home and away from 1960-1987. the stupid "M" hat didn't come along until 1987. they definitely need to get rid of the away "M" hat and go with minneapolis/st. paul only - TC

I truly hope that these are what they go with -- the minute I heard that the new ballpark was a go, I had hopes of the Twins returning to the older script logo.

Three things should change with these though -- the home stirrups should be blue, not red, the away cap should have the colors reversed (T in white, C in blue) as it was in the 70's and 80's and is now for the "alternate" that is never worn, and the alternate home jersey should have the logo/number placement on opposite sides.

I like the idea of no pinstripes on the home jerseys anymore -- that look is very classy for teams like the Indians, Braves, and Rangers, which this would be similar to.

I'll reaffirm what I said last time. I don't want them changing their uniforms.. UNLESS it is where those are the new ones, EXCEPT they keep the current wordmark logo on the front and numbering fonts.
