Now it's not very interesting, but it makes for a very realistic read when it comes to Phillies fans...

The Phillies played a facking game against the New York Facking Mets - a facking 7-4 loss. In the first inning, Chan Ho Park, who is a very facked up excuse for a pitcher, gave up a 2-run homer, the 41st homer given up by the Phillies facking pitching staff.

Just when it seemed that Park would settle down, he went ahead and gave up 2 more facking runs in the second inning, adding insult to injury by allowing the facking pitcher, Mike facking Pelfry to drive in a run with a sacrifice fly.

Park continued on his wretched pace by giving up yet another facking run in the third inning, again on a sacrifice fly. This time, at least, it wasn't a facking pitcher that drove in the facking run.

Just when frustration was almost overtaking me, the Phillies roared to life and scored three runs in their half of the third inning. The main blow was delivered by - of course - the facking Raul Ibanez, who is furthering his case for being named Phillies facking Burrell replacement.

Incredibly, Park had a facked up fourth inning, somehow managing to not give up a run. But in the fifth inning, it was back to business, as the facking Mets scored another run on a facking David Wright single. 6-3 stood the score.

Then later in the fifth, facking Pelfrey singled, driving in yet another run. Mets 7, Phillies 3. Park's facking piece of fack night over, after 4 2/3 facking worthless innings.

Curiously, the facking Mets did not score for the rest of the game, once the Phillies relievers took over. Could the Phillies chip away at this lead and stage one of their 8th or 9th inning comebacks?

Uh, no. Other than a solo Chase Utley home run in the 7th inning, the Phillies went out like lambs. Adding insult to facking injury, the Mets bullpen actually saved a facking game.

The only saving grace here is that the Marlins had already lost to the Cubs earlier in the day. But giving renewed hope to the facking Mets is not the best way to have started this facking piece of fack weekend!!!

Now, the Phils need to grow a set of _______________ and win the next two. They need to smother that _______________ hope that they've given to the _______________ Mets...and quickly. Or they could be looking back at this _______________ game and thinking about what could have _______________ been.

Thanks. And your word choices were pretty much what I was thinking. Although I was thinking more MVP rather than "facking Burrell replacement" - but both are absolutely applicable.

Now, from Tmil42's point of view:

The Phillies played a wonderful game against the New York Mets - a great 7-4 loss. In the first inning, Chan Ho Park, who is a very solid pitcher, gave up a 2-run homer, the 41st homer given up by the Phillies over-rated pitching staff.

Just when it seemed that Park would settle down, he went ahead and gave up 2 more well-earned runs in the second inning, adding insult to injury by allowing the starting pitcher, Mike "the man" Pelfrey to drive in a run with a sacrifice fly.

Park continued on his wretched pace by giving up yet another unstoppable run in the third inning, again on a sacrifice fly. This time, at least, it wasn't a stud pitcher that drove in the earned run.

Just when frustration was almost overtaking me, the Phillies roared to life and scored three runs in their half of the third inning. The main blow was delivered by - of course - the over-preforming Raul Ibanez, who is furthering his case for being named Phillies going to have a "horrible second half of the season" type of year.

Incredibly, Park had a lucky fourth inning, somehow managing to not give up a run. But in the fifth inning, it was back to business, as the thriving Mets scored another run on a MVP yearly-candidate David Wright single. 6-3 stood the score.

Then later in the fifth, the pitcher Pelfrey singled, driving in yet another run. Mets 7, Phillies 3. Park's expectedingly normal night was over, after 4 2/3 funny innings.

Curiously, the rocking Mets did not score for the rest of the game, once the Phillies relievers took over. Could the Phillies chip away at this lead and stage one of their 8th or 9th inning comebacks?

Uh, no. Other than a solo Chase Utley home run in the 7th inning, the Phillies went out like lambs. Adding insult to injury, the Mets bullpen actually saved a another game.

The only saving grace here is that the Marlins had already lost to the Cubs earlier in the day. But giving renewed hope to the future World Series Champion Mets is not the best way to have started this awesome weekend!!!

Now, the Phils need to grow a set of _______________ and win the next two. They need to smother that _______________ hope that they've given to the _______________ Mets...and quickly. Or they could be looking back at this _______________ game and thinking about what could have _______________ been.

Forgot a piece... Now, the Phils need to grow a set of balls and win the next two. They need to smother that newfounded hope that they've given to the awesome fucking Mets...and quickly. Or they could be looking back at this easy game and thinking about what could have been.

The Phillies played a "nother" game against the New York Mets - an expected 7-4 loss. In the first inning, Chan Ho Park, who is a very "horrible" pitcher, gave up a 2-run homer, the 41st homer given up by the Phillies "once-respected" pitching staff.

Just when it seemed that Park would settle down, he went ahead and gave up 2 more "facking" runs in the second inning, adding insult to injury by allowing the "no-name" pitcher, Mike "Why aint in the Minors" Pelfrey to drive in a run with a sacrifice fly. Park continued on his wretched pace by giving up yet another "facking" run in the third inning, again on a sacrifice fly. This time, at least, it wasn't a "muhfuhing" pitcher that drove in the "facking" run. Just when frustration was almost overtaking me, the Phillies roared to life and scored three runs in their half of the third inning. The main blow was delivered by - of course - the "not yet proven" Raul Ibanez, who is furthering his case for being named Phillies "excuse for giving up Pat Burrell". Incredibly, Park had a "miraculous" fourth inning, somehow managing to not give up a run. But in the fifth inning, it was back to business, as the "Got damn" Mets scored another run on a "sorry ass" David Wright single. 6-3 stood the score. Then later in the fifth,"the son of a bitch" Pelfrey singled, driving in yet another run. Mets 7, Phillies 3. Park's "awful" night over, after 4 2/3 "Thanks for nothing" innings. Curiously, the "gay ass" Mets did not score for the rest of the game, once the Phillies relievers took over. Could the Phillies chip away at this lead and stage one of their 8th or 9th inning comebacks? Uh, no. Other than a solo Chase Utley home run in the 7th inning, the Phillies went out like lambs. Adding insult to "must be a Ryan Howard" injury, the Mets bullpen actually saved a "facking" game. The only saving grace here is that the Marlins had already lost to the Cubs earlier in the day. But giving renewed hope to the _______________ Mets is not the best way to have started this _______________ _______________ weekend!!!

Now, the Phils need to grow a set of _______________ and win the next two. They need to smother that _______________ hope that they've given to the _______________ Mets...and quickly. Or they could be looking back at this _______________ game and thinking about what could have _______________ been.

damn forgot a couple...

The only saving grace here is that the Marlins had already lost to the Cubs earlier in the day. But giving renewed hope to the "vastly overrated" Mets is not the best way to have started this "Wolverine was not that great a movie" weekend!!!

Now, the Phils need to grow a set of "cajones" and win the next two. They need to smother that "last bit of" hope that they've given to the "damn" Mets...and quickly. Or they could be looking back at this "facking" game and thinking about what could have "facking" been.

Oh, I don't know. They gave the Phils something to think about on Friday night. The offense didn't really do much against Pelfrey, and I considered him to be a so-so pitcher.

Let's do this Joe Buck and Tim McCarver style!

Joe Buck: The Phillies played a ... game against the New York Mets - a ... 7-4 loss. In the first inning, Chan Ho Park, who is a very "... yeah, a" pitcher, gave up a 2-run homer, the 41st homer given up by the Phillies ... pitching staff.

(Still Buck) Just when it seemed that Park would settle down, he went ahead and gave up 2 more ... runs in the second inning, adding insult to injury by allowing the "opposing" pitcher, Mike ... Pelfrey to drive in a run with a sacrifice fly.

McCarver: Park continued on his wretched pace by giving up yet another ... run in the third inning, again on a sacrifice fly. This time, at least, it wasn't a ... pitcher that drove in the ... run.

Buck: Just when frustration was almost overtaking me, the Phillies roared to life and scored three runs in their half of the third inning. The main blow was delivered by - of course - the "next batter" Raul Ibanez, who is furthering his case for being named Phillies' "Raul Ibanez".

McCarver: Incredibly, Park had a "...good" fourth inning, somehow managing to not give up a run. But in the fifth inning, it was back to business, as the "Won't be as good as the Red Sox" Mets scored another run on a "Won't be as good as Mike Lowell" David Wright single. 6-3 stood the score.

Buck: Then later in the fifth, ... Pelfrey singled, driving in yet another run. Mets 7, Phillies 3. Park's ... night was over, after 4 2/3 ... innings.

Buck: Curiously, the ... Mets did not score for the rest of the game, once the Phillies relievers took over. Could the Phillies chip away at this lead and stage one of their 8th or 9th inning comebacks?

McCarver: Uh, no. Other than a solo Chase Utley home run in the 7th inning, the Phillies went out like lambs. Adding insult to "an" injury, the Mets bullpen actually saved a "baseball" game.

Buck: The only saving grace here is that the Marlins had already lost to the Cubs earlier in the day. But giving renewed hope to the ... Mets is not the best way to have started this ... ... weekend!!!

McCarver: Now, the Phils need to grow a set of "wins" and win the next two. They need to smother that ... hope that they've given to the "won't be as good as the Red Sox" Mets, and quickly. Or they could be looking back at this "baseball" game and thinking about what could have ... been.
