Two T's, Turkey and Tiger!!!!!! What a day they had, just when it looked as if it were all over. Turkey down 2-0 in the second half, had a major turn around and are now sitting in the quarter finals at the Czechs expense. 2-1 down with 3 minutes to go, Turkey would have been booking their flight home, but a certain N.Kahveci seemed determined to extend his stay. He put two past Petr Cech in the 87th and 89th minute for a dramatic turn around and sent the Czechs packing in absolute disbelief. a 90TH minute red card for Turkey didn't stop them from holding on to an astonishing win. Now what can I say about this man! Yes Tiger Woods! He had a scintillating round yesterday despite his knee giving away. last few holes saw him grimacing in pain but surprisingly that is when the miracles unfolded. 5 behind with 6 holes to play who would have though and he put up a show that left the viewers gasping in shock. His chip in on the 17th which left him with a sheepish smile got him one behind. Then the remarkable eagle putt on the 18th saw him take the lead by a stroke. People say his 13th hole eagle was what set him off and i couldn't disagree. That was yesterday but today Woods saw himself in an unusual position. He had never lost when leading after 3 rounds but he played awful and saw him slip behind Rocco Mediete, who played consistently. Last hole and Tiger 1 behind and he sends his drive into the bunker of the Par 5. His second into the rough and his reaction after that shot looked like it was all over. He was then left with a 12 foot putt with a difficult read. But one can never write the Tiger off and he wobbled the ball in to the cup. Rocco watching on TV from the club house could only say "Unbelieveable, I knew he would get it". So now tomorrow the US Open heads for an eighteen hole playoff. Surely Tiger is favourite but it all depends on his knee. I just can't wait. What a treat of sport.

I watched that game and the first half of the US-Barbados game and saw 8 goals. Oh my! The soccer balls are juiced!
