About the Author

BigPPup
AGM Linebacker and I will bring the pain.

I'm a sports fanatic. I hail from Nelson County Virginia, and thats where I learned to be a Virginia Cavalier fan. I also learned to be a Dallas Cowboys fan because I hated how good the Redskins were doing. I've played sports at almost every level with the exception of being a fulltime professional, as a result I have a great perception on the sporting world. I love to talk sports and I've never been shy to share my opinion with someone.

Spring is in the air, and that means March Madness is just a few days away, and if you even remotely care about basketball then you have to be in heaven. Opening day is right around the corner, and the weather is getting warm. Guess that means it’s time for Walker’s Rants to turn it up a notch.

UNC and UCLA will meet for the championship…

The Houston Rockets still won’t get out of the first round of the playoffs…

I guarantee you have never seen an athlete as dominant as Tiger Woods…

Congrats to all the teams from the Washington DC Metro that made the NC2A tourney…

Virginia is playing in the first annual College Basketball Invitational, for when the NIT is too good for you…

Congrats to Wales for ascending to the top of the Rugby world…

Its St. Patty’s Day have a drink and remember: May you have food on your table, a roof over your head and 30 years in heaven before the devil knows you’re dead….

Va. Tech wasn’t screwed; they didn’t deserve to make the Big Dance…

USC vs. Kansas State the losing team will have a press conference to send their star to the NBA…

You cannot expand the NC2A tourney…

Opening day… most overhyped day on the sports calendar…

How many NC2A Tourney games will Pat Riley attend as “scouting trips?”

Agent 0 is almost ready for a comeback…

Argentina needs to be let into the Tri-Nations tournament…

I’m already sick of the Yanks and Rays…

Tony Stewart may be the most unlucky driver ever…

Adding D.J. Hackett is not an improvement…

Kansas will do what they do best and choke in the NC2A…

Final Four, UNC, UCLA, Stanford and GT…

When did the Jets become the poor man’s version of the Washington Redskins?

Congratulations to the Nelson County Governors for winning the State Championship in Basketball… Yup that’s where I got my start…

"Adding D.J. Hackett is not an improvement…" Perhaps, but letting go Hackett certainly is.

note: You're not sick of "Yankees and Rays" - you're just sick of the Yankees. If it was Rays and any other team, it wouldn't have been noticed at all... especially by the other Yankees network (the 4 letter)

True but baseball fights in general bore the hell out of me. They are never as bad as the handwringers would want you to believe and its just much ado about nothing.

@BigPPup (and only BigPPup): You have to admit that Nolan Ryan crushing Robin Ventura was a hell of a lot more entertaining than Klitschko's last fight.

@TB hahahah.... True. there are exceptions to the rule and Nolan Ryan is that exception. Ryan was a tough SOB who knew how to throw a punch, so watching him fight was worth it.

AGMLB - Izzy Alcantara, Jose Offerman and Juan Marichal disrespectfully disagree with you...

@Tyrone - your invisible font isn't working

Nolan Ryan noogie-ing Ventura is without a doubt one of my favorite 3 moments in all of sports viewing history!

When they learn to throw a punch and take a hit they can step into the AGMLB's league till then, I don't ever want to see a guy run in from right field and basically fall over second base into another guy and then try to act like he did something special.

BigPPup - I agree with you that VT shouldn't be in but Seth Greenberg went off on his postgame specch after the Hokies lost to UNC this weekend and said that if his team wasn't included in the field then the committee must be certifiably insane

"I guarantee you have never seen an athlete as dominate as Tiger Woods…" Two words: Roger. Federer. I think the book is still out on who is more dominant, but the fact that there was a point in time when it was a shock if Federer lost a single match...that pretty much speaks for itself.

Federer has struggled a bit as of late, but Woods, has dominated golf and currently he has the 2nd, 3rd and 4th longest win streaks in PGA
