Isenhour shoots birdie... the WRONG birdie!

Micheal Vick can breathe a little easier. There's a pro golfer that's not only in trouble with authorities in Florida, he's in hot water with the feds for killing an animal that's on the threatened species list.

PGA Tour golfer Tripp Isenhour was charged with killing a hawk on purpose with a golf shot because it was making noise as he videotaped "Shppt Like a Pro" for the Golf Channel. The charges carry a maximum penalty of 14 months in jail and $1,500 in fines if he's convicted. Isenhour is 39 and attended Georgia Tech.

So the bird was making noise. Big deal! It's what birds are supposed to do. It's in their job description. What he should have done was waited until the bird stopped making the noise and then hit his next shot. What he did next could even bring the wrath of PETA on his head. Isenhour was aiming at the bird and eventually hit the animal, killing it after a few shots. The killing of the animal was not taped but Jethro Senger, a sound engineer at the shoot, ratted the golfer out.

Not only should the PGA ban this guy for life, he should have his tour card torn to shreds. This was a careless act and an animal that was doing him no harm whatsoever is dead. Isenhour, my piece of advice for you is this. When you get out of jail in 14 months, give up golf. You disgraced the game and yourself. The next links for you (hopefully) will be the prison tour.
