Full Swing

Just like every other fantasy football freak in the world as soon as the season ends I’m usually completely depressed about having to wait another seven months for the next season to begin. That’s exactly how I felt about the 2007, but for some reason I wasn’t as psyched as we approached the 2008 season. Why? I have no idea. I had a really good season last year (especially in online weekly leagues), but obviously that wasn’t enough for me to prepare better this season. Part of it may have something to do with being completely engulfed with coaching my son’s youth football team but, as Football Jabber says I’m finally “back in full swing”. However, I do have a few questions for you all this week.

Okay, this week I finally started playing in weekly cash competitions. Naturally I didn’t waste a minute of opportunity evidenced by the fifteen different drafts that I’ve been involved in over the last two days. Sick? Probably. However, it’s fun and I enjoy the constant competition. But, I do have a mild case of “buyer’s remorse”. So here’s my questions.

- In just about every competition that I’ve been involved in I have managed to grab Terrell Owens, Randy Moss and Reggie Wayne. I love those picks this week so how and why are others passing on them?

- Are people sick or what? Do they think LaDainian won’t play on MNF and Favre won’t produce? With others avoiding these two I feel completely inadequate. Am I wrong for feeling that way?

- Is Jay Cutler this years Tom Brady? Everyone seems to think he is this week.

- Westbrook and Willie Parker haven’t gone as high as they normally do. Is that because of the Pit/Philly match-up? In my mind they seem like obvious selections.

Any type of feedback would be appreciated.
